FS Roland MC303 Groovebox

Next on my list of gear to unload is this incredible MC303 groovebox. It is all you need for electronic music production. This unit does far more than I use it for. It is a drum machine (with step programming for folks like me that can't finger play a beat into a machine) a 1.5 octave synth, a portable music station and more. I've mostly used this to hash out demo tracks to play for the band before a 'real' song is put together. It hasn't left my studio for about 3 years and is in great condition.

I will ship the MC303 with the original owners manual and power supply. Sadly I do not have the box.

My price is set at $175 + shipping, or $200 shipped but I am flexible. If you've gotta have this thing and have a reasonable offer it can most likely be yours.

here is a pretty good example of what this thing can do:

I didn't make that video.

i own it,this is a pretty cool toy....i would play a song where i dug the beat then turn off all the other instruments playing while just keeping the drums playing then i would adjust the beat tempo to where i liked it then i would turn on and off certain drums ...i would put that into my roland sp808 sampler then throw a bass riff, guitar riff, synth riff, any random samples from movies ....it entertained me!! i paid about that much a few years ago! ...COOL TOY!

yes it does. I took some photo, but have yet to upload them so folks can see it.

I use the midi hookups to transfer my creations into Finale on my mac and to use a 'real' keyboard. I don't like the layout of the white and blacks on the mc303.

my last question is do you input drum hits the same way you do with an 808/909?

Well, I've never had my hands on an 808 or a 909. The mc303 has the sound patches of both of those drum machines. To input beats you have two options, real time playing and step input. I'm terrible at programming beats in real time so I always use the step recording process, which is pretty much inputting note for note like you would if writing it down on paper. I'll see if I can find a YouTube demo of the process.
