Pigtronix Disnortion: The Pigtronix OFO Disnortion features three elements: a touch sensitive Overdrive, a Fuzz with 6 different filters, and a frequency doubler named Octava. Agreed. How was the bass response on it? I don't see anything on the specs page that mentions it being a bass-specific pedal.

The disnortion is a great pedal. It is very versitle. The fuzz gets a sound that can get close to a sansamp, while the overdrive gets sounds close to a fulltone fulldrive or bassdrive. The octiva gives you a really growly almost compressed sound. When you combine it with the fuzz you get almost a synth-like sound. It is an awesome distortion pedal!

Me too. The pedal can get sounds that are close to those pedals, but also get a ton of other sounds. I personally like the fuzz alot. On low gain it breaks up really nice and when you crank it it gets nice and creamy sounding. Definitely cool. The overdrive sounds just awesome. The octiva changes the sound of everything - it's really cool. My favorite setting is the octiva and the fuzz on setting 5 together at the same time.

Chiming in on the Disnortion. I just bought one from a fellow TB'er. It is EVIL! So far I use the overdrive maxed out...it's also touch sensitive and the harder you dig the crazier it gets! It's awesome. After trying MANY distortions I think I've found the one. Add the Octava with it and it's just out of this world. The Octava alone will give you these cool synthy sounds to some overdrive if you dig in. It also has a gate of sorts on it as well...so you can do sme cool muting stuff. Ive yet to tap into it's fullest potential...

I know now that my guitarist loves/hates it cuz it sounds waaaay better than his distortion, yet fills in sweetly during his leads.

So...buy this distortion...you can't go wrong.
