I'm one of those people who buys a new bass, and immediately changes the strings. Because of this, I discovered I have 13 sets of strings lying around.
While most of these are used, I know for a fact that a couple of these sets were taken off brand new basses, so the strings are literally brand new. Of course I don't know which ones...I guess I should have labeled them a little better.
There are a variety of brands, gauges, etc., but there are a few consistencies...
- Most, if not all are roundwound (there could be some ground or half rounds mixed in)...in other words, no flats (that is what I change them to).
- All are 4 string sets
- Most are cut for Fender-style basses (Jazz, P's, etc.), although there are some Sterlings, and one or two Rics.
- Each set is individually packaged, although the packaging is not indicative of the brand. For example, I have lots of them packaged in D'Addario Chrome packages, but there are no Chromes in the mix.
You can have the whole lot for $40 shipped....payable via PayPal or by USPS Money Order.
