It's one of the best sounding preamps out there, with more warmth than a typical solid state pre yet more clarity and definition than a typical tube pre. Don't let the lack of an EQ bother you either, there are some nice 1/2 rack EQ's out there you can pair it with. |

The Impedance loading does give some different tonal variation. Akin to say a single Tone Knob. |
