FS SX Jazz Neck, Maple w/Blocks, Short Scale - Old Headstock

I have a maple and white blocked neck for an SX Jazz , short-scale bass.

Pretty neck - should fit any previous SX SJB OR the new Ursa models too as long as they are short-scale. - It might look pretty on this one:

This was purchased as a B-Stock directly from Rondo, and it comes with the tuners and string tree. You'll need to provide the nut, but a nut blank should be less than $10:

Although I don't think this was mounted based on the screw holes there is an issue near the nut slot. I don't believe this will affect performance or your ability to install the nut, but you can be the judge. There is a crack in the finish above the nut, and I've tried to show this in a photo the best that I can.

Truss rod is functional? Any twisting.

What is the width at the nut?

Hi John,

I don't know of any problem with the truss rod & I doubt there is, but when I get home I'll test it to make sure it will adjust a little bit. It appears straight, with no twists or bows, and I can try get a photo with a straight edge to add to the posting.

Width is 1.5" at the nut slot.

I checked the Truss rod - it was loose as soon as I put the wrench in and most definitely took up tension as I rotated the nut about an eight or quarter turn - in other words it felt like had been never been used or tightened before, and it felt like I was tightening in normally (and very smoothly) with only a minimum of turning.
