Well, I didn't have much luck with my thread trying to trade for a short scale SX P Bass pickguard, so I decided to sell the stuff I was trying to trade. Pictures of all this stuff can be found at FT: Tons of Stuff; Looking for Short Scale SX P pickguard and BA II saddles

All prices are shipped CONUS unless indicated otherwise.

~~1. Black "Gotoh" brand tuners. Brand new, never installed. I just opened the package. $40~~

2. Chrome gotoh-style tuners (4), maybe Allparts. 2/2 bass/treble. $35

~~3. Chrome Clover Leaf tuners (5), excellent condition, 4/1.~~

4. Gold Schaller "Made in West Germany" (so before 1989?) M4 tuners (5) in-line. The keys show some wear, but what great tuners for your bass! These run about $35 each, I'm asking $90 for all five. I'd like to move these, so the price is negotiable, and I would consider a trade.

5. Chrome Clover Leaf Fender style tuners. (4), 4/0 with bushings. I have no idea whose tuners these are, but they have never been installed, are tight, turn well, and look good. I got them in trade for a parts P-Bass, but then went with all golden hardware. $25 with bushings and screws

~~6. One (1) Schaller tuner, chrome, M4~~

~~7. Chrome Fender-brand string trees (3) with screws. $10 for all.~~

~~8. Chrome high-mass bridge, unsure of maker $20, nice looking bridge~~

~~11. Duncan Designed Jazz Pups, bridge and neck set, great sound. $32~~

12. Unknown brand P-bass pickup, new, may be Mexican Fender $25

~~13. SD Basslines SBP-3 P-Bass pickup, almost new, 8" lead~~ Gone

14. ~~Control Plates for Jazz bass, 2 Chrome, 1 Black, all 4-holes. Some scrapes, should be covered by knobs,~~ ~~$5 each~~ ~~Only 1 chrome left!~~

~~15. Set of Jazz Pups, unknown brand, maybe Allparts, maybe artec, nice $20~~

17. Eleven control knobs (push on), 4 LG, 7 SM (minor scratches on 3) $3 each (plus $2 shipping for order) Discount for large purchase. These are really nice looking knobs, and the price is negotiable.

18. Eight misc. metal knobs, screw type, one is black/chrome stack. $3 each, volume discounts available

19. Glow lights from old tube amps (2), deep red, each has it's socket (These are really sweet. One guy added on to his non-tube amp and powered it with a battery. Another put it into a mojo statue on his cab.) THIS IS A REALLY COOL ITEM. FOR $10, HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG? $10 each

20. Five gold push-on plastic knobw (my wife thinks they are cool) $5 for all of them. FREE WITH THE PURCHASE OF ANY ITEM OVER $10

21. Four aged, yellowed, guitar knobs, Strat-style, T/T/T/V really a nice vintage look. FREE WITH THE PURCHASE OF ANY ITEM OVER $10 $8

25. EMG Jazz "J Set" pickups, active, comes with wiring, 25K pots. Great sounding active pickups, but I'm converting this bass to a passive and putting tapes on it. Price reduced to $65. As a bonus, in addition to the pots and jacks, I'll throw in a set of nice new jazz control knobs, and a set of pickup adjustment screws.

~~26. I might have a set of Seymour Duncan AJJ-1 Active Jazz pups available. Right now they are trade only, but if no trade develops I may put them up for sale. Sweet pups.~~

This is a sale, but I'll still trade, especially if you've got that pickguard I'm looking for.

I realize they don't get a lot of respect around here, but I wonder how many of the detractors have actually played them. These things sound super, great SD tone, and that is from experience with SDs and with the DDs.

The P-Bass pickup has a really nice tone, I'm just not sure what brand it is.

The gotoh-style chrome tuners are very clean and work very well.

The control knobs look nice, plus you can mix and match the larger with the smaller for volume, tone, etc.

The chrome tuners (probably SX) would be just right for a project beater. They turn smoothly, and hold tune well now.
