SOLD:
$175 Paypal shipped CONUS for a mint 5 lb. 2 oz., 2009 flat black nitro, alder Highway One Jazz Bass body.
This body has no scratches, dents or dings. The finish is interesting in that some of the paint under the bridge, control plate and neck plate takes on a glossy appearance from what I assume is the mounting pressure of the metal plates against the paint. This body should be used with a pickguard because Fender does not take care to drill the pickguard holes without creating imperfections around them.
When the bass is fully assembled the visible finish is as perfect as a flat black Highway One can be.
The body was originally equipped with a Badass bridge and when used with a standard Fender vintage threaded saddle bridge (like I used) there is a slight, but noticeable "outline" from the larger base of the Badass bridge. If you use a Badass bridge it is obviously completely covered. I preferred the vintage bridge and the "slight outline" never bothered me.
There is a split in a recessed lug in the control cavity where some type of ground wire was originally mounted. I chalk this up to Fender quality control. It does not affect performance and is completely covered by the control plate.
I am not a photographer and took the best pictures I could. Black is very difficult to capture. Again, when completely assembled this body creates a visibly perfect flat black Jazz bass.
