***SOLD***
I recently acquired this on a P-bass I bought here on TB, but since I am converting the bass to a fretless, I no longer need the fretted neck.
The neck is from a 1995 MIM Fender "Black Label" Precision bass. Fits a standard Fender / Warmoth / USACG neck pocket. 1.625 inches wide at the nut. Maple with a skunk stripe and rosewood board. It's used but not abused - overall in good shape with some minor wear in the fretboard (frets themselves look pretty good), small nicks and dings on the headstock, and some paint residue at the heel (which won't show once it's on a bass.)
You can read the story behind the Fender "Black Label" instruments here:
http://www.tdpri.com/forum/telecaste...uncovered.html. Bottom line is, it's a great neck - as nice any Fender neck I've seen.
$175 o.b.o. shipped U.S. lower 48. Includes tuners and blank chrome neck plate w/ screws. If you want, I'll also throw in a set of flatwound strings (45-100 I believe) that were on it (not sure the brand - they have blueish-purple thread at the ends and I believe they are pretty much new.)
Prefer domestic (U.S. lower 48) sale. Hawaii, Alaska, and international sales are OK but you will pay
actual shipping costs to your address and I will not make any special arrangements to avoid customs fees, duties, etc. I reserve the right to pull any of these items off the market at any time.
Cash is my primary objective (isn't it always?

) as I have already acquired pretty much everything on my trade list. I *may* need a preamp - prefer something like a Delano, Glockenlang, maybe Demeter or Nordstrand - something I haven't already tried (I'm familiar with Audere and Aguilar already). Must have at least 5 knobs - prefer 5 knobs plus a switch or two actually.
Will also consider:
-G&L L2000 with heavily-figured birdseye maple neck AND fretboard
-I'm a sucker for anything with exotic woods, ESPECIALLY [u]heavily[.U]-figured birdseye maple, macassar ebony, nicely-grained pau ferro, bubinga, bloodwood, purpleheart, etc etc.
-Run literally anything by me, the worst I can say is "no thanks."
PICS
As you can see, it mates nicely with the
USACG natural ash body I have for sale
here:
