FS/FT: Various Parts - SKB 4U Rack, Bridge, Body, Etc

Sign in to disble this ad
Edit1: Removed some of the sold items and clutter to help keep it clear. So some of the below conversations may not look like they make sense anymore.

Edit2: Also adding that I would trade for various woodworking tools.

Prices listed include shipping CONUS unless otherwise noted. Paypal preferred.

Pics below

SKB Roto X 4 space rack - $70 $60 $50 - SOLD!!
Its in good shape, with a few things to note. There are a few scuffs on the back lid, and there are no rubber feet on the bottom. Also there is a hole on the back lid. I think the previous owner had done it to pass through a power cord. I was told by the previous owner that it could be plugged with an automotive grommet for like $2. I never bothered with it, though. Other than that, very clean.

Just Added!Misc Cables -
I had these cables made for me probably 5 years ago for a home theater project that never came to fruition. They are good quality, and a decent gauge wire, unlike hosa stuff. The connectors are solid, though the brand is unknown. They have been sitting in a filing cabinet since I got them, so they are unused. The types and lengths are below. Pictures added in a new post near the bottom. The lengths listed are total length including connector, so the wire is actually just a hair short of the values listed:

3' RCA -> XLR M - 4 avail
4' TRS -> XLR M - 3 avail
4' TRS -> XLR F - 3 avail

Price will be $6 each before shipping. Shipping is $4 if you buy one or buy them all. They will be shipped USPS priority mail. I actually have 2 additional of each type that i am keeping for myself, but if you HAVE TO HAVE all 5 or 6, let me know.

EMG HZ J - $25 $20 $15
This came from a PJ set that I got on here. I have fallen in love with the HZ's, have a Blacktop Jazz body w\ the 2 P's, so I don't need the J stuff now. Will ship with good lead and screws.

Squier J Pup - $15 $10
This came from your standard size PJ but was in a Squier HM5. I used the P in another parts bass, and have the J left over. When I was still playing the HM5, the pups always seemed quite magical to me, and the P bass took on that feeling when I used that pup, so they do sound quite good. There is a fair bit of lead left.

Squier Bullet Bass Pup - $15 $10
These came in my Korean Squier Bullet bass. This was the odd iteration where it had the P shape pups instead of the rounded ones. Sticker included at no extra charge.

Squier High Mass 5 string bridge - $25 $20 $15
Not much to say...some mojo, pretty good shape overall. Having a hard time nailing down the string spacing. It looks like 17mm if there is a slight gap between the saddles. If they are touching its like 16mm. One should also note that the last two holes on the treble side are closer together than the rest of the holes. Can possible come with the black screws if I can find them all.

Squier HM5 Body - $60 $50 $40
Has a fair amount of what looks to be pic marks. Don't know if they could "buff out". There is also a chip by the input jack that is showing grey (primer?). Pics show it most of the issues. Neck pocket appears to be 2 11/16 at the widest point. Will ship with input jack, rear cover.

Warmoth Jazz PG - $10 $8
This is in OK shape. Its a little dirty and has some scratches, but still usable. I got it used to test for a template, and the project is done.

It's not romex 12-2 but rather the speaker cable from proco, its nice stuff. I don't remember what I had in them with shipping, cut charges, and all that, but its close. I looked on here to see what similar size was going for. I'm not trying to make money on this, but I thought it was fair. My apologies if its unreasonable, make an offer if you want.

The rack is the deeper one.

More pics in just a few min after I get them resized.

Regarding the mystery body.. How green is it in normal lighting conditions? I have a thin neck that would probably fit the pocket nicely. Thanks!

it looks...er....uh...green. Lol, not really sure how to describe it, other than i really do like the color. My wife has our dslr camera with her, but these pics from my phone aren't horrible. Just took them outside. Sorry for all the glare, its actually kind of hard to photograph.

The Body and its Wood...

I believe that's a Jay Turser family (Turser, J. Reynolds, Austin, etc. Chinese) Paulownia body that will probably sound very good (and light) when mated with a neck... On one hand, you've got Guitar Fetish selling unfinished Paulownia bodies for cheap and, on the other, Guitar Mill charging a premium for the wood. It is impressive in its own right and the wood is revered in China and used for instrument making. A little fringe benefit from the China Effect? Brubaker used a Paulownia bodied bass for a Bass Player review to great accolades... Fender used pine for early builds...

I'm not a wood snob, I'm more interested in the color and the pocket fit. Tonewood Shmonewood.

But thank you for the info. It's always nice to know what I'm getting.
