I've gone to a different configuration on my NVT-equipped basses and as a result ended up with an extra pickup. Used only about 1 month and no issues at all.

New Villex Pickups and Passive EQ
It can be used either with the Villex passive EQ harness or with a preamp of your choice; it is a Low Z pickup.
EMG 40 sized, total sensing area is 3.25". Looking for $60 + shipping.
