Up for sale is a brand new pair of Villex Passive pickups with a mid tone control in the Bartolini P2 shape. Bought them for a 5 string bass that has moved onto greener pastures. Unfortunately I don't have any use for them at the moment. These were $306 and have never been used.
Just received the pickups today and am out of town until Friday. So no pics or shipping until then.
Yours for $280 $250 $200 shipped CONUS. My friends in Canada will need to pay a few dollars more but not much. And PayPal is my preferred payment method.
Link to the Villex web site for more info and wiring diagrams... Villex
He is really passionate about his pickups!

From what I understand the passive mid tone controls a coil in the middle of the pickups and can create a pretty wide variety of sound.

Usually he builds half the circuit into one pickup and the other half into the other. If you try to use the mid cut circuit with just one pickup by itself (if sold as a pair) you'll end up with either a bass cut or a treble cut. When wired up according to the diagrams on the Villex website, the mid cut works as advertised.
Free bump for some excellent pickups!

Thanks for the clarification. He mentioned a coil I guess that was the inductor.
If someone needs me to pre-wire these for them I can do V/V/T/Mid wiring.
Here are some pics. Unwrapped them and wrapped them right back up.

Possibly. I've seen but never heard them. Let me do a bit of research.

I actually bought these for a Carvin Icon that I traded before the pickups showed up.
