FS: Villex PRTB passive booster

Info here.

Very cool passive booster, this is the bass version. No issues, works great, I just had an extra unit left over when I switched one of my 5'ers to Villex NVT.

Was $96 new, asking $40.

PIC

You can also have the prewired harness it's attached to; vol/vol/tone. Very easy to unhook if you don't want it.

Hm, so for my single pickup Brubaker, I could run volume/prtb/tone, correct? I looked at the frequency graphs for the prtb, but can you give me your personal impressions of it's sound-shaping characteristics?

- thanks

Yes, it is installed just as another pot.

To me, the PRTB gives a thicker and more "series" like tone (the kind of fatness one gets from going from a Jazz in series vs parallel, I know to have one pickup, but that's the kinda tone variance), the more you dial in.

I found settings 2 and 3 to work the best, just a nice bump in the low mids and feeling of beefing it up.
