FS: vintage Micromoog filter processor/analog synth

Sign in to disble this ad
Here's an awesome lil analog machine that's equally great for signal processing (plug your bass into the audio input) using it's BIG FAT moog filter (controllable via sample & hold) or straight-ahead old-school analog synthesis! It's a single-oscillator design but gets FAT with it's octave doubling function. Excellent for synth leads, basslines, or psychedelic sound effects.

It is somewhat banged up cosmetically, but everything I've tested works just fine: all the keys work, as do the mod wheel and the ribbon controller (which is usually the first thing to go out on these units). All the knobs function. The filter contour amount knob has a somewhat scratchy pot, shouldn't be much trouble to clean it up.

Specifications
Polyphony - Monophonic
Oscillators - 1 VCO
Memory - None
Filter - 24 dB/oct lowpass (w/ ring modulation)
VCA - 1 VCA w/ attack, decay, sustain, release
Keyboard - 32 keys
Arpeg/Seq - Sample & Hold
Control - Moog 'Open System'
Date Produced - 1975

SOLD for $400+shipping

If my Jazz moves soon I may not be able to withstand the awful temptation. I had a similar Yamaha CS-5 around 82 and miss it big time. Watching...

Yeah- silly, I know but that's me all over. Honestly though, the Geddys I've played have been much more punchy, where the Audere & Barts in the(now sold )75 RI is smooth. Cut-through vs sit well in the mix; I'm a cut-through guy. Aesthetics play a pretty big part, too.
On topic, I'm still very intrigued by the Moog.
