Exceptional neck, stainless steel frets. Solid ebony requires no finish and is slick to the touch, plays like silk with great solid tone and no dead spots. When available from Warmoth, they go for $500 without any hardware. I need cash quickly and am selling this neck for $275 shipped, which includes the 3 Schaller tuners and Hipshot Drop-D tuner currently installed on it. There are a couple of minor flaws worth mentioning, an extra string retainer hole on the headstock and a small chip on the fretboard near the 16th fret. I will send close-up pics to anyone seriously interested. |

I'll include the wood screws used to mount it, as Ebony is a tough wood. I don't have the exact weight, but it's definitely heavier than a maple neck. Also please note the natural wood streaking on the upper frets near the A string, it's a strip of light brown in the ebony wood, not a reflection or glare. |

| | | | I'm sorry, I should have asked a more complete question. With the truss rod adjustment at the heel, do you have to remove the neck to make any adjustments? I can't tell from your picture if there's a cut-out in the body or if that's just the grain of the wood. |

| | | | TT, if you're that interested go for it. I'm interested, but I just sniped something on eBay this evening so I'm forced to hold off on the neck for the time being. |

I should mention how slick an ebony neck is since y'all have probably never played one...it's unfinished, but more satiny smooth than a satin finish. It hasn't required a truss rod adjustment since I got it 2 years ago, and Michigan has huge changes in humidity throughout the seasons. Tone is great, Alembic charges $1,000 for ebony stringers in their necks. I'm only selling because I went back to graphite. |
