Not a problem
Baltimore is pretty legit. Fells Point is cool, but the one big (ish) venue (Fletcher's...300 cap roughly) shut down. Fells still has a great vibe and there's lots to do. Plus, there's a legit music store there, Soundgarden.
Downtown Baltimore now has Rams Head Live, which is a Live Nation venue, as well as, Sonar, which is aided by IMP. IMP still has 930 club in DC, which is only about an hour from me and Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia.
We have another top 100 venue as rated by the likes of Pollstar in Towson, MD, The Recher Theatre, which is extremely nice.
Do you remember the old Hammerjacks? If so, it's a venue now named Bourbon Street Ballroom. Two rooms, pretty legit.
The music scene was named the best by Spin a year or two ago. We have bands from every genre and then some. All Time Low: Co - Headlining the Bamboozle Road Show right now, Dan Deacon/Animal Collective: Killing it all over the world, Beach House: On tour this summer/fall with Vampire Weekend etc. etc. It's a pretty sweet place.
