Is this the one with the 1/4" input or the mini-xlr on the body pack? Have any pics?

It blows my mind that this is still up. There was a time when it would have disappeared instantaneously at $600. If I hadn't just bought a ULXS, I'd already own this one.

Buy it, people, before my resistance fails.

I'm seriously considering it even though I already have two. That's how good they are.

What's the service situation with X-wire? If I drop the transmitter and it breaks - what happens? If it goes on das Fritz, what happens? I know sennheiser purchased X-wire, but do they support anything? Am I at the mercy of the competency of my local amp tech?

That's the *only* thing keeping me from buying one of these.

It looks as though if you ever DO need to service this item, it would be through a local technician. I did an exhaustive search and that's all I came up with.

I don't want to turn this thread too off topic, but why-oh-why did xWire go under?!?!? This is an amazing unit at an amazing price, and I'm REALLY struggling to NOT buy it. I'll relegate my Sennheiser to a backup if I have to, this item is IT.

Either way, free BUMP for Garey.

Wow, I really can't believe this is still around! As for anything happening to the transmitter - I don't think that would be an issue, unless you're dropping it from a 3rd or 4th floor balcony. Even in that case, you'll see just the transmitters pop up for sale every now and then for around $125 or so. I've dropped my transmitter several times, but you'd hardly tell even on close examination.
Best of luck Garey.
