FT: Aguilar Agro for Tone Hammer + $

I'm interested in trading my Agro for the Tone Hammer if someone wants to take me up on the offer. I'll include the original box, footswitch, manual, rack ears, and power supply. I'm the original owner and it's in like new condition and has been babied like the rest of my gear.

I can honestly say this nails everything in between subtle warm tube overdrive and thick and gritty fuzz. It can be run as an effect or as a preamp so it's pretty versatile. The only reason I'm thinking about getting rid of it is that being out of work has forced me to sell my rig and I plan on running straight through the PA so I'd like something geared more towards that.

Darn you! I want one of these sooo bad, but I freakin' love my Tone Hammer (like I've slept with it once or twice) and can't imagine getting rid of it.

just out of curiosity though, how much +$ are we talking?

Outright sale would probably be about $315 shipped or so...I'll explore that option later but just looking for the trade plus cash deal right now.

So is the Agro a dirt/grit only type preamp? And with no DI out?

I have a Tone Hammer. How much $$ would I need to throw your way if I were interested?

Nope, it has a buffered dry output for an ultra clean signal plus the lowest setting on the saturation (distortion) knob adds only a touch of fir to your signal and is super-responsive to your dynamics. Play with a light touch and it's clean, dig in a little harder and it's delicious

And not having a DI output is it's only drawback - if it had one, I would definitely keep it! But it has line level and instrument level outputs to run via 1/4" so I'm still contemplating getting rid of it...but then again I could use the extra cash so I'm right back where I started

And cash on top would be ballpark $150.

Thanks for the clarification but I'll have to pass. The DI out on the Tone Hammer is one of the main reasons I use it, sorry. Good luck with your trade/sale!
