I put an Aguilar OBP3 preamp in my Xp15.6 Clover bass. The preamp is great but I'm looking for something a little more transparent.
I'm thinking of something like an Audere or a Bartolini etc. I would also consider a John East U retro. My Bass has 5 pots and 2 switches. I'm open to any suggestions or offers but the preamp must have 5 control pots and 2 switches. I have absolutely no interest for preamps that are not 5 pots 2 switches so please don't offer them up for trade.
As you all know the Aguilar OBP3 is highly configurable. It can be wired to fit most any bass. Any D.I.Y. or competent tech can use the wiring diagram to change it to your preferred configuration. It is currently wired for 5 pots and 2 switches: Vol / Bal / Bass / Treble / Mids - Mid selector switch, Passive Active Switch.
Gonna leave this ad up for a little bit, I'm not in a hurry, if I don't get any trades I am going to offer a straight sale. I'd like to wrap this up by the new year at the very latest or when I get tired of bumping it.
