I've been crazy about a recently arrived fretless and want to try some different strings on it. I have a few sets of strings that aren't getting any use at the moment that I'd love to trade for some DR Sunbeams (preferably light to med.- light gauge), or possibly other nickel-roundwounds...I'd trade the new Chromes straight across for a new set of rounds, and any of the used strings straight across for a lightly used set of Sunbeams or something similar. If there is no trade interest, I will consider selling and add sale prices! Brand new Rotosound Flatwound B string- I got a bum B string in a pack of Roto flats a few years back and they ended up mailing me a brand new set PLUS an extra B string all the way from the UK. I put the 4 good strings on one of my 4 string basses and so this B string was never cut or used. I can't recall the gauge, but it is whatever B came with the standard .045-.105 set, and Long Scale. If you have a use for this, PM me and I will give it to you for the price of shipping.
...GoneBrand New set of D'addario Chromes XL Flatwounds- Medium Gauge (.050, .070, .085, .105), Long Scale. Got these awhile ago when I was really digging heavy gauge and wanted some nice brightish flatwounds, but never got around to using them. Cardboard package is a little beat up from storage, but the bag with the strings is still factory sealed.Gone...
...GoneSlightly Used set of GHS Precision Flatwounds- Medium-light Gauge (.045, .065, .080, .100), cut for a standard Fender-style 4-in line headstock. These have become my favorite all around flatwound strings and are the same as the Lakland Joe Osbourne Flats (Lakland just re-labels them from my understanding). I bought this set for my Darkstar'd Jazz after having a set on my G&L for many months. I was going to experiment with using the Jazz with flats and the G&L with rounds instead of the reverse, but ended up missing the rounds on the Jazz after just a week or so- I barely played this bass in the interim, so these strings aren't even broken in. I still have the broken-in set from my G&L for when I want to use them again.Gone...
......GONEUsed set of TI SuperAlloys Nickel Roundwounds- Don't recall the gauge, but they only come in one gauge- I think it is close to the standard .045-.105, cut for standard Fender 4 in line headstock. Bought these awhile ago to experiment with- I really liked the feel of these strings alot, but decided I wanted a brighter steel roundwound at the time. I probably had them on for about two weeks or so of light to moderate use (I usually do string experiments on basses I'm not using in a band before transitioning to the main players). I considered trying these on the fretless (and will if nobody else wants them), but really want to try the Sunbeams too!GONE.......
