FT: Nordstrand Big Singles for Nordstrand Fat Stacks

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a 4-string set of Nordstrand Big Singles in my bass and I want to give Fat Stacks a shot. These Big Singles are practically new - I'm the first one to install them and they've been in my bass for about three weeks. I only cut about 1/2" of the wire leads.

They look like this:

Anybody interested?

I've got some nordstrand split coils if you're interested? They sound smoother than the big singles with more sparkle in the treble in my opinion.

So, the Splits are smoother and have a "nicer" top end, right? Have you heard the Singles and the Splits side by side? If this is true then you've got a deal!

yeah, i have three nordys in my possession right now, two 5ers with singles and a 4 with the splits, the splits definitely have more going on in the treble, its smoother, sparklier, nicer, whatever you want to call it compared to the singles which have some more grit to it and little less shine in the treble. I've got another rehearsal tomorrow and I'll bring two basses and see how they sound in the band setting.

I'm not looking to sell - just trade.

Looks like I've got a trading partner as well.
