Here is a thread that you may have seen in the Basses forum describing the neck I have. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showth...48#post6634948
It's strange in a few ways. To summarize: it apparently was originally fretless, but now is fretted (so it has more than one set of dots on the top edge). It has evidence that someone may have removed part of the heel to access the trussrod (and later replaced the removed part). It also has a circular stain on the first fret? (You can kind of see it in the photo.) Please read the linked thread for details. I'm not trying to hide anything; it's a weird neck. Trussrod moves freely. Neck is 1 5/8" at the nut, but fairly thick front to back.
I got this neck on a parts bass in trade, and it plays fine. However, it's a pretty chunky P neck and I prefer a slimmer profile. So I'd really like to trade it for a Jazz neck with pearl blocks. Might also consider black blocks.
I know this isn't worth the high price that '70s Fender necks are commanding these days, but it's a cool old P neck that would be a fine player for someone who likes the shape and isn't concerned about mint condition. Anyone?

But if it's a problem since I answered the question about selling it, then I'll take $275 for it. Or ideally a RW or maple Jazz neck with blocks.
