FT Ric 4003 Black Pickguard for a White one

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a black 4003 bass that came with a Pickguardian black pickguard. I'd like to trade it for an actual Rickenbacker white one. The Pickguardian costs $50 new, the Rickenbacker costs $30 new. It's a good deal, if it's what you're looking for. I'll put a pic up at some point, but it's in great shape, no visible damage. Your pickguard does not have to be in as good shape. Depending on the variables, I may ask for shipping on mine also, and insurance if you want it.

I'd consider it, but then my truss rod cover wouldn't match!

There are a couple very light pick marks by the top p-up. I think I made them yesterday jamming with a drummer. I wish I had realized that was a bad idea since I want to trade it
Anyway, the marks are super light, took one pic with flash, one without. You really can't see them unless you're up on top of them and very close. REALLY light.

FYI My experience has been that newer 4003 pickguards in interchangeable. Older 4001 pickguards vary in the screw hole spacing and distance between the neck pickup and the end of the neck.

Thanks, I'm definitely looking for 4003, somewhat recent (past ten years?). My bass is 2003, so the guard is at the oldest '03, I'm going to email the original owner and find out exact year
