FT/ S: EMG Active Jazz + PJ Pickups for a passive P, PJ, or 4 string MM pickups

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a couple of sets of active EMGs, a Jazz set and a PJ set- the PJ set is currently installed in a bass that is at my practice space (so I will have to wait to post a picture), but the Jazz set hasn't been used for a couple of years. They function perfectly, but have a few scratches, dings (not too bad- the PJ set is cleaner looking). These are the older ones that require soldering vs. clipping on...I have 3 25k pots I could include with one set of the pickups, and an EMG active preamp (the one specifically for use with their pickups w/ bass + treble eq) as well if that would sweeten a trade deal ...
I'd love to trade either set as well as the pots and EMG preamp (as needed) for a passive P, PJ, or MM pickup set- specifically a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder (regretting leaving one on a bass I sold ), but I will sell outright for a decent offer!

Thanks,
Karl Zickrick

I will try to get pictures of the PJ set as well as the preamp ASAP!

Pictures of PJ set + new J set...

So the original Jazz set I listed and the preamp are SOLD, but I did remember that I have another Jazz set on an old beater 5 string that I haven't used in years ( they are still 4 string pickups!). They are very cosmetically challenged- I think a previous owner kept the bass in a case that pushed the strings against the pickups, so there are 5 shallow grooves on the covers of each pickup- I think you can buy new covers if you want! ( it never bothered me however!) .....I'll sell these for cheap- $35 shipped or best offer!

The other pick is the PJ set I originally listed- I just picked the bass up from my practice space and remembered that the J bridge pickup was damaged from a screwy screwdriver I used to mount it at one point (there is a shallow round groove by the screw hole on the pickup cover for all 4 screws- one of the grooves is deeper- the top right one in the picture). They still work perfectly and the P pickup is in near perfect condition. Because of the cosmetically damaged J pickup, I would be willing to sell/ trade the P pickup seperately if desired! I will sell the set for $65 shipped, or just the P for $50 or best offer!

I would love to trade any combination of these for a passive PJ or just a P in working condition! I especially love the Seymour Duncan Quarter- Pounder P, but would be interested in others as well!

Thanks,
Karl

How about a set of Rio Grande Muy Grande pickups (read that as SD 1/4's on steroids for the PJ set?

The PJ pickups are officially availble again- preferably for trade for a passive P, PJ, or MM pickups- especially Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders....

Thanks,
Karl

Bump, I am now also interested in a trade for a passive MusicMan 4 string style pickup as well- especially Seymour Duncan, Nordstrand, etc...
