For trade, a set of Seymour Duncan SJB-3 (one B, one N) Quarter Pounders. These guys: http://www.seymourduncan.com/product...b3_quarterpou/ EDIT: Will sell for 75, because that's how much the DiMarzios are in another post. As long as the DiMarzios are available, that's how much I will sell these for.
They sound great, but it isn't the sound that I need for the band I am in. Very funky and quacky, but a little too mid-scooped for my taste. I think. It's really hard to describe sound. There is lots of lead, but I have cut some off in the many times I have tried to wire my J bass. Both pickups are wired to a single volume pot now, with no tone. I think it is pretty cool, but I'm kind of an idiot, and I'm not very good at soldering and I get frustrated easily. Also, the leads fell off the pickups, but I have re-soldered them back on and they work fine.
I'd put up sound clips, but I am a computer illiterate, and do not have the means to do it anyway. Wait--maybe I could at practice, but that wouldn't be until Sunday, August 1st.
Anyway, your favorite bass player uses them, and if they say they don't they are probably lying to you (and they aren't going to take you camping, either).
I'm hoping to get a set of DiMarzio Model Js, because I have a DiMarzio in my P bass and I love it. But I'm open to anything, so shoot me an offer. I'm looking for more mid-heavy and aggressive. Not interested in Fender MIM, because I already have those. I can't add cash, because I have 25 cents in my bank account, but if you want me to throw in a quarter I will.

What model EMG? Are they active? I'd like to do a little research first! |

Hopefully I'll have the time tonight to take some pics of the actual pickups and harness.
Does the wiring harness you have include a switch to change pickup selection?

They are for sale for 75, which is enough to buy DiMarzios from another post. |
