Hi,
I have for trade a number of T-40 parts. This includes:
Body
Neck
Neck Plate w/ screws
Tuners & String Tree
Bridge
Control Knobs
Wiring Harness
Pickguard w/screws
T-40 Case (excellent conditon)
These were all destined for evil-bay, but I thought I would give the TB crowd a shot at them first.
All the hardware is in superb condition, much better than I have seen on a lot of T-40s.
If you are looking for some T-40 parts, here's a great chance. Basically, this includes everything except the pickups.
Here are some of the things I would be interested in trading for:
Good P Bass pickup, like a Rio Grande Muy Grande or possibly a SD Quarter Pound.
Good short scale neck.

A couple of people have asked about possible sale, or for my approximate valuations on the items for trade purposes. That's a reasonable thing to ask for.
I'm still looking for the perfect trade, but below is what I would sell these for if I don't find that perfect trade. Obviously, when you are parting a bass out, the individual pieces wind up being more expensive than the whole, but you knew that. The best guide I have for these things is what they have sold for recently on that online auction site we all love to hate.
Body $50 plus shipping
Neck $85 shipped
Neck Plate w/ screws (go with the body)
Tuners & String Tree $50 shipped (or together with neck for $125)
Bridge (These sell on ebay for $75 plus shipping. Condition seems to be the key here. Mine is beautiful. I'd ask $65 shipped for it.)
Control Knobs (Wow. These have been selling on ebay for $20 each plus shipping, which is pretty crazy. I'd ask $15 each plus Priority Mail shipping, or $65 shipped for the set of four. These things must be pretty hard to find in good condition, and mine are in superb condition.)
Pickguard w/screws (excellent condition...cheap imitations run $40 plus shipping. I'd ask $35 shipped.)
Wiring Harness $25 (or $55 for pickguard and wiring harness)
T-40 Case (this is the one with the full fur lining...my son may have dibs on this for his Peavey)
Naturally, I'll entertain any offers or combinations of trade/sale. Money talks, and I'd rather sell this stuff in big chunks rather than little bits.
Thanks.

These items are still available.

The only thing left is the T-40 wiring harness, and it is listed in another thread, so I'm closing this.
Thanks to all.
