I originally had this for sale over in the Bass Guitar category, but I will part this out cause I need the cash.
I have here an absolutely clean Fender Bass Body in Midnight Wine. The body came from a 97 Fender fretless that sat around in some guys house untouched. (The fretless neck is long gone).
Most likely the body is made of Poplar, as it is quite light and highly resonant for an MIM. The body has a set of Lindy Fralin pickups I installed, that sound killer. That is a Gotoh bridge installed (similar to ones found on Sadowsky's), and the electronics are a passive, orange 'cap, switchcraft jack, 250k pots goodness, (not the original MIM stuff), but a better one I had around the house. (I can't remember where I got it from.)
I had built this bass up with the Fender deluxe neck you see installed. I have used this neck and parts combination on a few bodies that I have already sold, but you know...something about this one made it stand out from the others in terms of tone.
Anyway, I was going to keep this, but I just landed an old school Trace Elliot head, so I'd like to recoup some of the money I spent on that, hence the sale. If someone is interested in the body with the neck, shoot me a PM, I could do that. (Fender Neck, with frets, brand new replacement).
The body with the Fralins, Gotoh, electronics, end pins, and mounting plate with screws is
