Sign in to disble this ad
I've gone ahead and parted out a frankenbass 5er that I previously listed for sale.

The pickups are gone and the neck and both sets of tuners are spoken for but here's what I still have:

Hipshot 5 string bridge-~17mm spacing, gold body, gold mounting screws and black saddles and adjustment screws- $65$55
COMPLETE preamp assembly from a G&L L2500, includes pots, chrome switches, knurled gold knobs and wiring-
$175

Set of gold straplocks-unsure of the brand.
$30 $25 $20

Body-mahogany aftermarket body-cut to resemble a Warmoth Gecko. Routed for the G&L humbuckers and preamp system.
Control cavity cover is a thin slice of wood dyed black.
$90 $75
All prices are OBO and include shipping CONUS.
No international buyers, please! Shipping charges are likely to exceed the price of the item.

Also- I do NOT have paypal so I prefer payment via USPS Money Order.

***SEE POST BELOW- I have added some items including a GORGEOUS all birdseye maple neck/FB from Warmoth***

Bump

All still available- no one needs a real G&L preamp?

Also- I'll get pics up sometime in the next few days.

Well,
It looks like I'm adding a beautiful Warmoth all birdseye maple neck and a couple of sets of tuners to my list of available parts.

I had a buyer for them but it looks like he's gone and its my fault. I had a tough time finding a box to ship the neck in and I didnt have a lot of free tiime to devote to the effort.
If my previous buyer comes back into the picture, he will have 1st shot at these items- I think thats only fair since it was MY fault in the first place.

The neck and fingerboard are all 100% birdseye maple, its a 5 string neck, virtually the same dimensions as a Gecko Medium but it has 22 frets instead of 24. that means its 1 7/8" at the nut and its a shade under 3" at the 22nd fret. According to Warmoth, it works best with a 19mm spaced bridge.
It also does not have the Gecko inlay.
The guy I got it from said the headstock style is one they dont do standard anymore. Also has very nice dot inlays that are either MOP or abalone.

Its presently set up with black tuners and a black string bar that covers all 5 strings. The tuners are generic- the look like Grovers to me.
The neck is in beautiful shape-the only marks are a couple of black marks on either side of the peghead toward the neck. It looks to me like the bass was in a neck-hanger and some of the black cushion material really stuck to the finish. You can feel them but they dont affect playability at all.

I'll sell the loaded neck for $260 OBO shipped CONUS, or I'll pull the tuners and string bar and go $230 OBO shipped CONUS on the neck with no hardware.

Then there is a set of gold tuners-they look the same as the unmarked black ones. $25 shipped CONUS.

And if the buyer wants the UNloaded neck, the black tuners will be the same price as the gold ones- $25 OBO CONUS.
Remember-the black tuners are still on the neck and they are not for sale separately unless the buyer for the neck does NOT want them.

I'll post some pics later today/tonight when I have a few minutes.

Thanks for looking!

Update- I'd be willing to add some of these parts to a trade for a 410 cab with one of the basses I have up for sale/trade.

Let me know!

Everything is still available PLUS now a Warmoth maple/maple neck, 3x2 black tuners and 3x2 gold tuners.

I have decided that I will NOT pursue overseas sales. I just dont have the time to do the extra running around.

As I advertised before- $260 for the fully loaded neck as its setup now- black tuners & black string bar.

I hope to have a few pics up in the near future showing the Warmoth logo on the heel as well as shots of the birdseye figuring on the neck and fretboard.

Is this a Gecko Warmoth neck? Which means it is 35 inch scale.......all Gecko's are.

I'm pretty sure the neck is NOT an actual Gecko- it does NOT have the Gecko inlay and its only 22 frets.
It measures the same as a Gecko medium at the nut and its a shade narrower at the end but I figure thats because its only 22 frets instead of 24.
I probably should match it up against my 34" scale Carvin 5er to be sure of that though.
