gemini drive fs/ft for a cream pie or pedaltrain

Sign in to disble this ad
USD160 shipped anywhere or near offers?
fantastic sounding drive. really pulling apart my live pedalboard, and besides a cream pie. im not really looking for anything else. its one of the more versatile and yet full on bass retaining overdrive/distortion i've played. the lack of funds and the lack of space (trying to go down to a lunch box) and i cant really afford to keep this beauty.

pm me. cheers
Irvin

I would even take a pedaltrain mini (shipped plus some cash on top? or you could tempt me with a mini plus random as pedal)

ok. i cant find the original thread for it. so i'll try explain this as much as i can remember. i'll plug it in over the next few days to make sure i remembered it right as well.

there are four knobs on this, overdrive volume, clean boost volume, gain and tone. with 3 toggles with the mod 1, mod2, and i cant remember what the middle one does.

its one of the most transparent drives i've played, thats really versatile and keeps the low end. with the clean boost volume you can pretty much bring your volume level you want it to be at when boosted, gain = self explanatory, and overdrive volume as well.. (i think?) the toggles triggers the two different drive circuits in this which gives quite a different set of tones. its amazing. but i kinda miss the pinkiness of a dark cream pie.

if this doesnt sell in a time frame i guess i really should keep it (if i could afford too by then!

i also have these in the international classifields, im happy to ship any where, and i'll split the cost with ya. with the usd doing pretty well, these might be a bargain for you guys

ebs octabass grey AUD 120 shipped or near offers. happy to take trade in with a pedal train mini (yes i know, defeats my whole purporse, but im selling of my pt junior too )
never sat on my pedalboard, in mint condition, will get a picture up asap.
its actually being sent over to me this very moment from my mates place, which is a couple of hours away.

a pretty much brand new, in box sadowsky outboard di preamp.
my tonehammer does the job and is more than sufficient for me. kinda elimiates the need for a od too. and its is more my kinda sound, more aggressive. AUD 240 shipped or near offers.

Analog Delay, made by a local upcoming nz builder. i preferred it to the carbon copy, i paid quite a bit for it. and i dont actually have any specs, had it custom coloured too, a black and orange flavour, sized in about 3/4 and xo enclosure with time, repeat and mix controls if im not mistaken. his delays are sweet, has an awesome fuzz factory clone, and probably one of the best tonebender fuzz derivatives that i have played. talented guy. AUD180 shipped.

The switches on the gemini are actually tone and clipping modifiers. The gemini (the middle one) is a tone switch that effects the overdrive and clean channel. With the gemini switch down, the frequencies above 6.5khz are rolled off and the bass seems (to me) to be affected more with the overdrive. From O's:

The other mode (my favorite) rolls of freq.s over 6.5khz in an inverse-exponential way of the clean channel while changing the way how overdrive clips (soften a bit ina rounder way), as well as rolls of below 340hz in pretty much linear way, again, of overdrive channel. This allows a clean and tight blend between overdriven and clean boosted signal, take away the muddines caused by "layered" effect of conventional blending.
The tone modifiers are LED clipping switches. They switch between different combos of LED's and regular diodes. This was from O's:

MOD 1 up / MOD 2 up => 2x1N914 and 1x1N914
MOD 1 up / MOD 2 down => 2x1N914 and Red LED
MOD 1 down / MOD 2 down = > Red LED and Red LED
MOD 1 down / MOD 2 up => Red LED and 1x1N914

Basicly, you will be getting 3 different assym. clipping and 1 LED sym. clipping options, on top of the Gemini mod and other controls.
Hope that helps,
Joe

So as I get it, the Gemini Drive is (as yet) a limited edition pedal... I've also seen this one... Did each unit have different graphics? And what about soundclips? I'll do a quick search and see what I can find, but does anyone know if there are any soundclips available?

Brian
