how bad can I screw this up if i try to put this in and take out the stock pu i have in my 4003 now? thankx, mark.

That reissue Horshoe pickup is a direct drop in replace for the high gain that comes stock with a 4003. The tone will be similar to the 4003 high gain and you get the retro look of the horseshoe pickup.

The worst that can happen is you mess up the soldering.

Is there a difference between yours and the ones in the Rickenbacker boutique for $200?
I know those will drop in.
