Hey guys,
Thinking about selling my Warmoth neck. Only because I want a different Warmoth neck. This neck will fit a "medium" Gecko bass, which, is, in my opinion, the most comfortable 5 string I've played. I have large hands, but find that too wide a neck makes for an awkward transition to four-string basses (I play mostly fours anyway.) Too narrow a neck means too-narrow string spacing, and causes me to play very sloppy. The Gecko Medium is a perfect in-between.
This neck had bonus gorgeous birdseye figuring on both the neck back as well as the headstock. The stringers on the neckback are purpleheart. The neck came with a Warmoth "satin" finish, but I found it too thin, so I sprayed a few more coats of clear over it, and then smoothed them down with a green Scotch-Brite pad.
I applied a gold Warmoth logo to the headstock which I think looks classy. The neck is being sold without the gold Gotoh tuners, but I can throw them in for an extra $55. Not sure what size the frets are, but I find them comfortable and they are in good shape.

The fretboard is a gorgeously-grained pau ferro with a cool black Gecko silhouette. My wife actually became sad at the prospect of me selling this neck. She thinks it's very pretty. But I have my eye on a macassar ebony-board neck that I think I would prefer... I've been jonesin' for mac ebony for a while and it's hard to come by.
Nonetheless, I may decide to keep it, but I figured I'd at least list it and see what kind of offers I get.
$395 shipped (lower 48 only) or $450 including the gold Gotoh tuners.
