Correct me if I', wrong, but the 1/2" shaft ones are for old Fender necks (70's, etc) and the 3/8" version are for newer Fenders (late eighties through current)....right?

If these do indeed fit 70's Fenders, I'll take em!

After researching this a bit, these tuners fit on modern Fender headstocks. They were tested on a recent American Standard Jazz Bass. The bushings are 5/8" and they fit in there snuggly. I have 3 extra bushings that are slightly smaller at 19/32". I will include those with the sale as well. If you need this size Hipshot can provide you with the xtra 19/32" bushing.

I would like to make a little disclaimer. I can't be responsible if these don't fit your bass. All I can do is give you accurate measurements and you must determine if they fit. Measure the tuning machine holes, and if they're 5/8" these will work.
