I would not be offering this, but just bought a new bass and need a few sales to help make up for it. Also, I don't have a neck for it at this time, so its not being used at the moment.
Bear with me, its a somewhat long description. I made this one-piece body myself (earlier this year) out of a
Honduras mahogany plank. The wood was already seasoned for years when I acquired it, so I'm sure its very stable. It sounds great, very resonant, and fairly unique! You'd probably be the only guy in your city, maybe even your state, with a mahogany P bass.
Fits a standard Fender neck heel, 2 1/2 inches wide, and
fits snugly. Being hand made, its not as perfect as a factory made body, but almost so, and it looks pretty darn good and authentic. I made the pickup cavity a little too large, so that the bridge cover (if one were to be installed) had nothing to screw into on one side, so I added a small fillet of mahogany there, so there would not be a void under the screw hole, and so a bridge cover could be installed if desired. But that is underneath the pickguard and does not show. All parts fit well and line up as they should.
The neck holes are drilled correctly, and the bridge lines up perfectly, so the strings are equal distance from each side of the fretboard (when a neck is installed). The finish is nitro lacquer tobacco sunburst. The finish is not perfect, but it does look a lot like a '57 Fender finish. There are some flaws in the finish, small scratches and chips, The paint is starting to chip around the neck plate area, etc, and you might want to repaint it. It is drilled for a Fender '57 reissue 10 hole anodized aluminum pickguard and a standard Fender vintage style bridge. I did line the cavity with aluminum foil.

And this is what it will look like with a gold anodized 'guard.
