Is Flea's vid primarily funk-centric or more general technique-ish?

It's been a couple years since I've watched any of these. I opened the drawer, and there they were.

I don't recall anything redeeming about the Flea tapes except his comment that when he needed decent gear he couldn't afford it and when he got to where he could afford anything he wanted, everybody was bust'n it to give him free stuff. Of course that could be more a reflection of me.

The Sheehan tapes had quite a bit of good practical info applicable to playing - even though I don't like Sheehan's sound. You can apply it to anything.

Laboriel and Friedland were good basic instructional slap tapes. It's actually surprising how little instruction most instructional videos provide. Most have something of value but it's kind of you'll know what you've got once you get it kind of thing.
