This is the 4-knob
deluxe version. I had it in a bass that I sold with the original electronics reinstalled. I was keeping it for a future project, but I think I'd rather find it a new home.
Controls are, from right to left in the top photo:
Vol/blend (stacked)
Pickup switch (defeats blend)
Bass/treble (stacked)
Mid/mid frequency select 150 hz-3khz (stacked)
Active/passive switch
Passive tone control
On the J-Retro Deluxe, the jack is meant to be side-mounted or in a location other than on the control plate itself. So, this may not be the best choice if you are replacing typical passive J-bass electronics that have the output jack on the control plate - unless you want to rewire it, replacing the passive tone control with the output jack. It looks like that could be done fairly easily, but you might want to check on that with John East first - he responds to e-mails pretty quickly in my experience.
