Kent Armstrong custom dual coil pickups (Bart P4 shape)

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a set of custom made Kent Armstrong pickups for sale. These were made for me by Kent for my 6 string Ristola bass. They are the same dual coil pickups that Celinder used to use in their custom basses, but in Bartolini P4 sized shells (118mm x 32mm). They are slightly radiused on top, around a 20" radius. They have ceramic magnets.

I'm selling these pickups because they didn't mate well with my new bass. The pickups are brighter than I need for this bass. I've replaced them with Barts and am much happier. These pickups will be great if you have a darker sounding instrument or if you are just looking for more highs out of your bass. They are very articulate, clear pickups. I do have a sound clip if you want to hear what they sounded like in my bass.

The pickup casting was made with maple so when Kent made the mold the pickups would end up looking like ebony. I think they came out great.

$200 shipped. US sale only. No trades. Thanks.

If someone really wants these...make me an offer.

To hear a soundclip of my bass when these pickups were in it go here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/defa...bandID=1021755 and click on "My Romance, As Told By Woody Allen".

At the time my bass had an ACG filter preamp in it....the bass has a cherry body, maple/purpleheart neck and an ebony fingerboard.

What's the magnet structure like under these? Individual poles or bars? I've got a bass crying out for much, much brighter p/ups and these will fit...except it's a 5er.

Oh, sorry....yeah, these are bar magnets for sure. As long as the pickup size works in your bass these will work just fine.

If you'd like them don't be afriad to PM me an offer. They're just sitting here not getting used. I'd rather see someone get some use out of them.
