Hey everyone!
Up for sale is a set of interesting pickups:
these are the Lace Aluma-P90s, which were originally
used in the Helix basses before the newer BassBars came out.
These have been ground on the edges to fit into black plastic soapbar covers. The covers are the standard "Bartolini" 4-string shape, which measures 1.25" wide by 3.95" long. They should fit in many different basses.
These pickups are very 'open' and full-range sounding.
They are inherently smooth and clear, with a character similar to some Lane Poors or similar pickups.
The output is on the low side of average - they would be great with a preamp. Also very low noise.
The other big plus with these is the incredibly low weight.
You will absolutely notice the difference when you put these in - the bass will feel significantly lighter.
It can be as much as 1/2 a pound lighter than the old pickups.
These give you a chance to try the Lace 'sound' without routing, and without the 'high-tech' look that the Alumitones usually have.
No pics at the moment - they're black rectangles, you know?
Asking
$80 shipped (to lower 48) for the pair.
Please PM if interested or with questions - I'm not always
great about following the threads.
Best wishes,
Martin
