Lakland 55-02 rosewood/maple neck fs.
 

This neck is off a 2010 55-02 dlx. In excellent shape, no fret wear, truss rod fully functional, stays in tune during the ever changing weather in the midwest and is "plecked". And now the disclosure........Some of the recent Skyline 5r's have a quirk in which the "G" string sits closer to the edge of the neck (like my Bongo 5) and so with this neck too. Most think it's due to neck pocket or bridge alignment. This may have been due to the way the neck was machined; there is an arc on the "G" side of the neck; yes a curve. Never had a problem with rolling the G string off the neck. You can't see it unless you look down the edge of the neck. Also the "D" string will not be centered with the fretboard dots; seen this on a few of the Indo made models. In addition ALL neck screw holes are NOT in the same location from one model to the next; you may have to plug the the existing holes and redrill. Any questions, feel free to PM me.

Are we basically talking about an alignment issue between the bridge, neck pocket and nut? If that makes sense?

Yes that makes sense, but there is a small arc to the "G"string side of the neck. You can't see it when the bass is strung up and you are looking directly at the neck. you only notice it when you look down the side of the neck. Basically there is more room from the edge of the f-brd to the "B" string than there is from the edge of the f-brd to the "G" string.
