I recently took possession of this MIM body, but I'm thinking of letting it go.
The body is a sunburst alder, that has a few small dings here and there, nothing major, and definitely nothing down to the wood. All in all, a nice clean piece from 1999.
I put a neck on it and strung it up, and I must say I was most impressed!
Electronics and pickups are stock (passive) and sound really good, and have not been messed around with. Has a 4 ply pick-guard with a tug bar, side jack, and a nice bridge that is adjustable for string spacing. It has two holes for a cover over the bridge pickup...not sure if this was stock, or if a previous owner drilled it. This body is fairly light, definitely in the 4.8-5.5 lbs range loaded. If this doesn't sell, I really don't mind. I have had MIM bodies before, and I have to say, they are really nice. The sunbursts' are the nicest (IMO), with the wood on this bass having been chosen well. You can see it was sprayed carefully, with the poly coat not being thick and clumpy...I'm not sure if I'm explaining that right, if you saw it in person, you'd know right away what I mean

As for trades, I have a few things i might be looking for, but in the end cash (and local sales) are king. In particular:
-a 3 band preamp with 4 knobs. No Audere please...nothing against them, they're great, but I've already used them and I'd like to try something different.
-I need a flight/road or rack case. A flight/road cases' inner dimensions would have to fit an amp head 21 x 17 x 8. A rack case would need to be 4 space, lightweight, and be able to fit something 17" deep.
