Loaded Geddy Lee Jazz Body - $295

Sign in to disble this ad
I have for sale a Geddy Lee Jazz Body Loaded. The Geddy Lee has the 70's pickup spacing. The GL Body I purchased this year, not loaded, to create my own Custom 70's Bass Jazz Bass...something a little different From the standard Geddy Lee Bass. The Geddy Lee basses are Crafted in Japan (CIJ). I'm a fan of the Block & Bound Maple w/ Pearliod Blocks. Times have been tough so I parting some bodies and necks.

SOLD

I will include a Black Fender Deluxe Gig Bag in excellent condition.

The total weigh of the GL Body and Neck (Neck w/ "70's" Style Tuners) was, 9.5 Lbs. Sorry, the Neck is not for sale.

The GL Body w/ Black Pickguard is loaded with,

- Seymour Duncan SBJ-1 (Vintage Tone) Single Coil Pickups.

- CTS Pots (not the cheap CTS pots), Switchcraft input jack.

- Vintage Cloth wiring.

- Sprague 0.047uF capacitor.

- Bridge is a Gotoh 203 Bridge Plate w/ Fender American Series Bridge Saddles. I have this Bridge combination on three on my Basses. Beefier than the Vintage Bridge, but still has the Vintage look.

*The cavities are shielded, although I will admit not my finest work.

-The body has Schaller Strap locks and included are the
mates for your Bass Strap.

*Also included with the sale is,

- A Fender "F" Neckplate and Screws (unopened)
- two extra Pickguards, a white pickguard from a 97' American Jazz Bass and a Parchment pickguard from.....who know what bass. Although, It is a high quality PG.
- A Neck Pickup Cover. I'm sorry the pix looks like there are scratches on the cover...they just swirl marks. I'm just a poor photographer.

$295 Shipped, CONUS Only
SOLD

Those look like Dimarzio's not Duncan's. Am I mistaken?

You're correct! Tthe Pix show the Model "J"s that were in it.

I pulled the Model "J"s and installed the SBJ-1's because the Model "J"'s pickups are so large they were packed so tight. d Thought it would be way too much trouble for someone to adjust pickup height for their taste or fighting to pull them out if wanting to replace them.

Thanks for mentioning the pups.

Is this an actual CIJ Geddy Lee body or a look-a-like?

This is a CIJ "Geddy Lee" Body! The neck pocket is stamped "JBGL". You can see the pickups are in the 70's position.

I purchased the body (not loaded) from eBay (Reliable Fender), this past spring and installed a CIJ 75 RI Maple neck with the Peardiod Inlays.

I decided to install the neck on my 76 Jazz body, so I selling the the GL body.....loaded or not loaded. Buyer's choice!
