This is the body off a Squier VM Jazz that I had no intention of buying but it was so beautiful I just couldn't walk away from it hanging on the wall. Unfortunately I just don't play it enough to justify keeping around.
What got me was the grain. It's by far the nicest piece of wood I've seen on a lower-end Fender product. It's two-piece maple, and they're a great match (the shading difference you see in the 2nd pic is just a weirdness of the flash). The grain has this kind of radiating rings effect - I can't really describe it and unfortunately my photos do it no justice - with a light flaming like you see on necks. It's really something else.
The electronics have been upgraded with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder in the neck. I originally put the full set in but I decided I liked how the stock "Duncan Designed" bridge pickup sounded better and ended up swapping it back in! Under the aftermarket black control plate are CTS pots, Orange Drop cap, Switchcraft jack wired to a volume/blend/tone setup. Maple knobs to match the body. No bridge or strap buttons.
It's in near-mint condition with no dings, big scratches, gouges, anything like that anywhere on it.
