This is a fine VM Jazz Bass Body with some top of the line upgrades.

Aero Type-1 Pickups (came out of a Lakland DJ bass)
250k CTS Pots
Switchcraft Input Jack
Wilkinson Vintage Bridge w/ Brass Saddles
Black Vintage VVT Knobs
Black Pickguard Screws
Thumbrest (not shown but I will send w/ body)
Fender Ashtray Bridge Cover (not shown but I will send w/ body)

Clean holes are drilled for ashtrays and thumbrest.

I've got a beautiful Warmoth birdseye/pau ferro jazz neck on it now and it fits perfectly. I can sell the body with the neck and Schaller tuners (hipshot D-tuner included) for $450 shipped. You'd be getting a great jazz bass which was recently set up.

I would also consider trades for nice effects pedals (no boss, danelectro, etc).

Thanks for the offer, but I have too many basses as it is, and another on the way. Trades are limited to effects pedals. I fixed my original post to reflect that.

I have a very similar setup on one of my basses- VM body and Aero Type 1s, but with an Allparts Maple/Rosewood neck and black Schaller bridge. It kills! Someone will be getting an awesome bass for not much money...there really is something special about the maple bodies on these basses!

I have the original pups in mine, but I've been meaning to replace them. The maple body is great on these though.

$225 is a great deal for this too. Loaded with top-of-the-line guts–Aero 1's, CTS pots, and a switchcraft jack. For another $225, add a Warmoth birdseye and pau ferro neck with Schallers and a D-Tuner… This bass has the parts to compete with just about any passive jazz and features a unique maple body for $450.
