You need it! Haha. I had this done a couple years ago and just decided I have too much stuff I don't play already to start building again. It's the big flake bass boat sparkle....you'll be seen onstage at 50 paces!

No, only the channel from the control area to the pickup and the neck screw holes are drilled.

Imagine this thing with a clear pickguard or no guard with one of those little comma shaped control plates.....woohoo!

I have never built my own. But I have a neck coming and this body is very tempting.

What drilling would still have to be done?

Holes to mount the bridge.

Holes for control plate or pickguard screws?

Holes for mounting the pickups?

Is there really a route there for the ground wire to the bridge? I can't see it in any of the pictures.

How would a newb like myself get the bridge mounting holes drilled? I have a drill press and know how to use it. But, I don't see any easy, obvious way to figure out exactly where to drill and make sure the bridge ends up in the right place and square.

If this were just a matter of screwing things together and doing some soldering, I'd be a lot more interested.
