Modulus-type Graphite Neck

This is a Modulus-type graphite neck. Specs are as follows:

1. 35" scale
2. 24 frets
3. Rosewood fingerboard
4. Adjustment rod
5. Graphite nut
6. Gotoh tuners
7. Abalone fret dot markers
8. White side dots
9. 1 7/8" at the nut
10. 3" at the 24th fret

The neck came off of a G. Gould five string bass. Not entirely positive on this but I believe the neck came from the hands of Jerry Dorsch at Graphite Guitar Systems; who I believe was with Geoff during the early days of Modulus Graphite.

The neck has the Modulus look of graphite 'flakes' and shapes that give it an almost 3d look.

Since it's wider at the 24th fret than the standard Modulus Quantum fivers, a string spacing of 19mm at the bridge can be achieved.

Neck is straight with little to no fret wear. No scratches, dings, or digs on the back of the neck. Comes with four neck bolts.

the very end of the neck is approximately 78mm (about 3 1/8") wide.

the neck extends about 54mm (about 2 3/8") from the 24th fret to the very end of the neck.

at the back of the neck, on the bass side, it's about 135mm (about 5 3/8") from the very end of the neck to where it tapers down to the playable part of the neck.

at the back of the neck, on the treble side, it's about 95mm (about 3 3/4") from the very end of the neck to where it tapers down to the playable part of the neck.

the thickness/depth of the neck at the very end is about 20mm (about 3/4").

the thickness/depth of the neck at the 24th fret is about 31mm (about 1 1/4").

it is a nice neck. been contemplating keeping it and just having a custom body made. modulus q5 specs with custom woods. thinking about korina/african mahogany with 1/8" cocobolo caps on the front and back.

It's a damn nice looking neck. Wish I had an excuse to buy it!

You'll need some spiffy pickups for that bass! A Sidewinder will get you right into Flea territory!

there is no 'deal' with the neck. the neck came off of a fully-functioning bass. the body is being fitted with a neck more to my specs. so the neck is available. no sad tale. nothing wrong with it whatsoever.
