I bought this Modulus VJ4 body with the intentions of buying a Modulus neck and playing it. I just can't fork out the $$ for a neck right now. The pickguard is original, the bridge is a Gotoh and it is original. The control plate is from an MIM Fender Jazz. The pups are EMG JV (active) Jazz pups. I believe the body is Ash.
In order to get the battery to fit, I cut out a section of the control cavity. If you have a dremel you could probably smooth it over on the inside and you could possibly make it larger where the battery will fit completely in..I just made it so that I could screw the control plate back on...it is a SNUG fit.
Note: At the moment I am having wiring issues and trying to iron that out. A more experienced person could get these up and running in a few minutes I am sure..I think I mis-soldered. The pups look new.
There are a few nicks on the body, nothing major. There are a few finish cracks around the neck pocket and on the back where the neck plate sat (top right and bottom right of neck plate area). (See Pics Below)
Neck Pocket: 2 1/2" wide x 3 3/4" long x 3/4" deep (fit a Fender MIM neck into the pocket and it was SNUG)
$325 shipped for loaded body $250 shipped for the body, pickguard, and Gotoh bridge $100 shipped for EMG pups, pots and control plate (probably needs 3 new pots according to the TBer I bought it from)
