Moog phaser pedal, homemade control pedal

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale: Moog Phaser pedal. This is one of the coolest sounding phasers out there. Unfortunately, it has been sitting on my shelf for the last 3 months not being used, and I need to buy a new iPod, so it is time for someone else to start giving it some use.

I put velcro on the bottom for a pedalboard. I believe it is one of the 75th anniversary editions, or something like that (I will check when I get home), which as I understand is exactly the same, except it has a little badge on the side of the unit. It comes with the power supply. I can also include the proper cable to wire this up to a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power supply if interested(it requires a cable which doesn't come standard with the supply)

With the pedal, what happens to the position of the "knob" of the effect you're controlling when you click it to switch effects? Does it revert to the physical knob's position? or stay the pedal was?

The knob setting on the phaser pedal controls the minimum value, and the pot on the expression pedal controls the maximum value. When you click to change channels on the expression pedal, the value of the channel you are no longer controlling goes back to what the knob is set to on the phaser. The other channel then can be controlled by your foot.

When I was using it, here is how I would set it (this is from memory, so I may be a little off) I would use the pedal to control the range of movement, as well as the frequency. I set the range by default at 0, and the frequency fairly low. When the pedal controlled the range, I could get the phaser to move up and down by different amounts, and it would sound like a normal phaser. When I switched it to control the frequency, the range went back to zero, so it wouldn't sweep up and down by itself. Since I could then control the frequency with the pedal, it turned it into a type of wah pedal, but with a phaser sound instead of an EQ bump.

I don't know if I am interested in trades right now. If I was, here is what I would be looking for:

BYOC Wah
a good overdrive that does a light overdrive sound while still keeping a full bass response
Nice HSS pickup set for a fender strat
new iPod (at least 80 gigs)
