late 70's Power Wah Boost. Pair this bad boy with a big muff and you'll sound just like cliff burton.
it's in pretty good condition, has some pitting in the chrome, and it looks like the power cable could use replacing, but it works good. the only issue i've found with it, is at the very bottom, while it's in volume mode doesn't seem to actually kill the signal completely, and you'll still come through a little. I've had the thing opened up, and it looks like the previous owner had used some electrical tape to help seal off the flap inside where the photosensor is.
it will add in some hum to your signal, and it also has a smallish level drop with the boost switched off, and the wah switched on. from what i've read elsewhere, this was a common side effect of this thing. if you're coupling the boost and the wah, this obviously isn't a problem. i avoided the hum issue by running it always on, and used an AB pedal to add it in to my signal chain instead of hitting the switch on the unit itself.
it's really a great piece, i just don't use wah, and bought this hoping maybe someday i would, but after having it sit around for 6 months without even being plugged in, it's time to move it along in the name of something new.
I recreated this without the price in the subject, to reflect price drop...
$155 OBO shipped anywhere in the conUS, elsewhere we can discuss shipping. I'd consider trades (+cash either way if necessary) for the following, an original green russian big muff, bartolini pre/pickup setup (bridge j only), or a nordstrand p pickup.
feel free to shoot other trade ideas as well, but that's what i'm specifically in the market for.
I'm happy to take the bottom off and take pics of the guts if anyone wants them, but i won't be able to get them until tomorrow night, as the pedal is currently at my practice space and i won't be able to make it over there til tomorrow.
