Ultralites can be reversed to go either way.

That is correct. They can be reversed to be configured however you like.

I don't have my bass in front of me, but I could use these as Fender replacements as long as the bushings are still in, correct? (i believe the inside diameter of the bushings is 14mm)

If so, I'll take them.

I'm not 100% sure if these can be used as direct Fender replacements. I want to say the answer is no since Fender's normally have 1/2" posts; however, I know that it's possible to have 3/8" posts installed on a neck that's been drilled for 1/2" posts.

What is the outside diameter of the nut slot for the tuners?

Also, have you noticed a difference with 3/8" tuner posts vs. 1/2" tuner posts? I'm worried the low B-string on my 6-string wont take too kindly to the 3/8" posts.

Could you please be a little more specific? Are you concerned that the string won't fit on the post or that the backing of the tuner won't be large enough to keep the peg in place? The outside diameter of the washer that holds the tuners is just shy of 1 inch (maybe 15/16").
