This is the direct drop-in replacement for the standard 3 coil Sterling pickup. I flipped the coils in the case so that the single coil position is in the neck side coil. It sounds great, kind of P bass-ish. Fatter than the bridge pickup sound. I could flip it back to stock before shipping as well. It's easy to install, the wire colors match the Sterling wire colors.
