I bought this Mighty Mite P-Bass pickguard (3-ply, black/white/tortoise) from a music store that must have had it for a long time. The packaging looked pretty old (I no longer have the packaging, sorry).
It still has the protective peel-off plastic on the front, so it should look good underneath. I knew when I bought it that the screw hole pattern wouldn't match a modern American Standard (or American Series) P Bass, but it looked like it would fit my Squier. Truth is, it didn't fit the Squier either. The shape of this 'guard isn't quite the same, nor will the screw holes match up. Maybe it was made to fit an older 1970's P bass, I don't know. All I do know is, it won't fit the modern ones (and I realize no one wants to drill extra holes in their bass - I sure wouldn't).
So, I thought it would work best on a new construction project, where the screw hole pattern wouldn't matter as much. It is a nice enough looking 'guard. $13.00 Priority shipped to USA destination.
