I paid top dollar for a refin 73 P bass only to discover the body was not original. Here it is...
It is a mystery, I would put it at 20-25 years old. It was poorly refin'd a long time ago, lots of checking on it. Whatever it's origin it's
slightly smaller than a regular p body with all the same contours and proportions, and has the old style routing for the wiring. The 73 Fender P neck fit the pocket. There are 2 sets of bridge screw holes, one set right behind the originals.
On a positive note, it is
really light and resonant but I can't tell what kind of wood it is for sure. I and some others think it may be an old original US Bullett body, or maybe a Squire.
This could be great for a relic build, it's nice dry seasoned wood. The black guard is new, light swirling only and is also included-
$70 for both shipped.
